A Thousand Plateaus "Definition of a Procedure Against Being" Cassette

This album is the first part of a musical exploration into feral ecologies, or "ecologies that have been encouraged by human-built infrastructures, but which have developed and spread beyond human control."

Taking urban Tulsa, Oklahoma as a site for responding to and improvising with the human and non-human environment, these pieces capture live field recordings, process them through a modular synthesizer, and provide the foundation for bassoon improvisation.

 Bringing together human, technological, and natural sounds as they unfold gives a look into how these types of Being affect each other in a single Oklahoma setting, but are no single element is fully in control.
